Zhang Jiaxing

NI Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by artist Zhang Jiaxing, opening on May 22, 2026. The exhibition will feature 13 works created between 2016 and 2025, including mixed-media pieces, installations, and paintings. Zhang Jiaxing’s work carries a sense of brutal formalism, where materials, forms, and concepts exert opposing forces upon one another. The sense of presence created by the traces of matter and action within the works challenges conventional notions of beauty.
