NI Gallery is pleased to present "More Wrong the More You Look" a dual exhibition by Monijian and xiaodake, on July 4, 2026. Taking "More Wrong the More You Look" as its guiding theme, the exhibition features a meandering viewing route. As visitors move through the space, they repeatedly encounter the same set of objects and the same series of images: "Seeds" and "xiaodake" The former continue to accumulate as they are collected, while the latter are constantly replicated and transformed; both undergo changes through these repetitive actions, turning the act of viewing into an act of correction.

Artists

Monijian

Born in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China in 1992, he graduated from the Painting Department of Xinjiang Normal University in 2014 and currently lives and works in Beijing. His practice is based on continuous walking and observing within urban space, through which he collects remnants and everyday objects from public environments. These materials are then transformed and reconfigured into sculptural forms presented within exhibition spaces.

xiaodake

Born Shen Dake in 2002 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China. He received his BFA in Architectural Design from the China Academy of Art and is currently pursuing an MFA in the Mural Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. His practice moves fluidly between digital painting, poetry, experimental music, and installation, often translating the subtle tensions of personal emotions and interpersonal relationships into selffashioned poetic material forms.
